roof inclination calculation
«

Hello all
I have a document about a roof of a metalic house. This roof is marked as 20% inclination.
What his means? How can someone calculate the parts of the roof by knowing the percent of the inclination?
Thank you

In very very simple words, each 100 in length, the roof is going 20 meters lower.

The person who had just calculated it that way might have purpose. The 20% inclination is maybe good to come up with a good design. Furthermore, the roof should have a right slope for the whole night.

As a matter of fact, i think that 20 is a standard number for metallic industrial buildings as well...
