Scotch tape emitting X-rays?
« on: October 23, 2008, 21:23:00 PM »
UCLA students discovered that when you unroll the tape in a vacuum chamber it emits X-rays!
It's similar to what Russian scientists discovered 50 years ago by peeling sticky tape from glass, this new discovery open new horizons in the medical fields by the form of low cost x-ray machines or in areas with no power. Don't be afraid though, emision only takes place when the tape is unrolled in a vacuum chamber, thus mean tha you can still use it in the office.  :D
