Title: What is the best way to create Gerber file from a schematic with a parts list
Post by: stephenp on February 22, 2012, 04:21:24 AM
Hello Y'all
I have had a board designed, but the designer doesn't use gerber files.  No he is not from the stone age.   A Gerber file is what the PCB manufacturer wants.  Any ideas on how I go about getting this done?  How complicated or not is it?  I did not see this one coming.  I've been busy on other stuff.   Would appreciate any ideas that anyone has.
Thanks in advance.

what do you mean "had a board designed"? with what software?

simplest solution, use a free software such as eagle pcb lite or free pcb and make the gerber. the PCB manufacturers need a gerber file to work with, or any other supported file.
