Post by: jbrs128 on March 25, 2008, 09:02:34 AM
Allright, i took a decision.

I will make my first pcb. I have a first question thought. I google aroung (and ofcourse your site) and saw that there are several kinds of boards with different thickness of coper.

What should i get for start? And what is the difference?

Good decision and we are here to help.

Start with a normal PCB, that should be 1 oz/ft2

As a matter of fact, it is important when you have hi current running on the pcb. otherwise, choose a thin copper layer so you will have faster etching and of course the etchant will last more.

I do not know but i suppose not much. Just a simple circuit. Not high voltages or things.
