But does this stop completely the metabolism? For example, will in the future of course possible to travel light of years away while asleep? Like in fiction movies.

I thin the future for operations is the hypnotism. It is getting more popular. The patient is not asleep by drugs but is hypnotized and the man that keeps him hypnotized is all the time there. The patient is healing much more faster than if he was drugged and if the operation was simple like cosmetic or something else, the patient may leave the hospital as long as the operation ends. There is no recovery time from anesthesia.

i know it. I have seen a documentary. The doctors where operating and there was a nurse (actually not a nurse but a woman) to keep the patient hypnotized.

The operation took place in England at the neck of the girl !!!.
I do not remember exactly what the operation was for.

yes this kind of operation. The patient was not asleep but was hypnotized. And after the operation he (she) woke up! With no side effects from anesthesia
