Hmmm Riko, if you are not sure about the programming, then do not search more on the PCB. I suggest you make yourself (or buy) a PIC programmer. You can find one really cheap in ebay, one with ICSP port. My circuit has an ICSP port for this reason.
A black and a white line on the LCD (like the ones that appear in your case) is a symptom that shows that the LCD has not be initialized. This can happen either due to bad connection (and data never arrive correct), or due to bad programming.

What kam says is the most commonly reason.....But also check the contrast of the lcd.If it is fully clockwise  you see such cubes....Turn it right- left to see if anything changes....Also i see something that i don't agree..You solder your wires WRONG!!!They almost touch to each other on your pcb!!!!!Check it out to see if there is any connection among them.(At least this is what i can see from the pictures you upload...)Look at the red and the blue wire....
Also kam where have you upload the pcb of this project?Icouldn't Find it..... :-[ :-[ :o

Oh, i haven't. That is because it had some mistakes. I can give it to you but you will have to correct those mistakes yourself. That is what Riko did. I informed him about the mistakes and (hopefully) corrected them himself.

I usually do not provide PCBs with my designs, mostly because designing a PCB is a process that i know only the most basics. If someone wants a PCB that i have design, then i sent it with personal message, along with a cover letter to make sure that he understands that this is a job done by amateur.

Hi Kam, could you suggest simple pic ICSP porogrammer's schematic please?
I found one realy cheap on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ICSP-programmer-Adapter-PIC-PICkit2-pickit3-ICD2-Z-/150526037785?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230c0d0f19 but it will take months while I'll get it :(
So I could make it myself faster.
Thanks in advance Sirs.

EDIT: what do you think about this programmer? http://origa.me.uk/content/simple-serial-icsp-pic-programmer

This is adapter for the programmer......It says clearly

ICSP programmer Adapter PIC for PICkit2 pickit3 ICD2 Z

Did you check the things i told you to?

Also take a look here.......

http://cgi.ebay.com/PICKIT-3-MCU-Universal-ZIF-socket-PICkit-2-3-/350453224252?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5198a3d33c

It's the new programmer from Microchip (clone)but lot of people say that still pickit 2 is better than 3 because it has not fully support YET and it has not stand alone programm (it works only with mplab....)

pike is right, what you link to is not programmer, it is the adapter, something that you are not going to need.

The RS-232 programmer is an idea that i have never test, and although many people say it works, i have some unsolved questions.

Pike brought me this weekend a self-made programmer, which i did not test, but looks quite promising. If you have someone that can program for you (successfully) a 18F PIC, then you might want to make it. As a matter of fact, i though about it and i think that i will make a similar one to test and upload schematics and PCB. If you make it yourself it will not cost more than 10 euro, right pike? Pike can post the links to the spanish site.
