pic16f84 VS pic16f88
« on: April 01, 2008, 09:30:04 AM »
I started using the PIC16f84A. After a few months, i found this 16F88. It has more memory, pwm, analog I/O, serial protocol, more RAM and in general, in front of 16f18 it is WOW.

The strange thing: Wherever i have search for these two to bye, the F88 is AT LEAST half the price of F84 :o

How can this be? Is there something wrong with this PIC? I hope not because i ordered some of them.

I think you mean 16F84 and not 16f18

16F84 is discontinued. F88 is cheaper as a policy of marketing from μChip
