Want some one to build me a machine (from start to finish)
« on: August 02, 2011, 01:45:52 AM »
Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum/site and hence looking for some help.
I want to build a small machine from scratch.
I have no skills hence need some one who is knowledgeable to help me through this project.
Will compensate for your time & efforts.
Here is a brief outline of the project.

A small, good looking, air tight, fully automatic machine. This machine is for a lab, hence need a modular, stable, quiet, minimum vibrations & durable design.

A single glass bottle measuring 10 ml – to 1000 ml will be held by a metal arm.
The glass bottle will be filled with “x” amount of liquid and the bottle will be pneumatically sealed by a cap.
The metal arm will move up and down “y” times to vigorously shake the liquid.
Every shake will end with a hard stop.
At the end of “y” # of shakes the liquid will be spilled (end of round 1) and the process will start all over again (start of 2nd round) by refilling the bottle with “x” amount of liquid followed by “y” shakes.
The process will be repeated “z” times. (“Z” is the # of rounds)
The amount X, Y & Z are programmable.
The “x” amount of the liquid can be increased or decreased from 1 ml to 1000 ml.
The “y” amount of shakes can be increased or decreased from 1 to 1000.
The “z” amount of repeat cycles can be increased or decreased from 1 to 1000.

I need a PCB board to controls/set the parameters.
The PCB board will have the following functions
   ON & Off button
   Start & Pause button
   X value setting button
   y value setting button
   z value setting button
   Progress counter   n/z round in progress
   Timer

If you think you can build this machine drop me an email  sunny002 at gmail.com

Thanks

Sunny

Why not building it with the community? Then everyone can benefit from the project.
I could build this machine and i am not the only one on this site.
You need MCU, Buttons(maybe 3 potis), Flowmeter, E-motor, hoses etc.
and much stuff for the casing and so on

Hi Guys,

This project can be broken into many sections.
Guys good with electric motors can help design the arm.
Guys good with Fluids can help design the fluid delivery mechanism.
Guys who are good with electronics can help with integrating it all.

Thus making this a community project.

Any takers ?

Sunny

You should make a time plan. Also you are the one that knows exactly what the machine has to be like, so you have to build it.
If you encounter any problems you can ask us for help. Please Upload every data needed to build this machine.
I would start experimenting a little bit if i were you. For example have a look at the flowmeter here: http://pcbheaven.com/exppages/Experimenting_with_Liquid_Flow_Sensor/
and look for other information that can be used to set up a prototype.

Hi Guys,

This is a project that I would like to be completed within the next 2 months.

I hope that's sufficient enough time.
