How possible is to create an electromagnetic pulse?

"Is it possible to create an electromagnetic pulse?" my question is simple but the answer seems to be very complicated....

sure it is,  but how strong and fast you want it to be? you want to be in the scale of the Navoxodonosor to destroy all electronics (and potential machine guardians)? A small scale (and harmless) emp can be emitted from a coil when you let current to flow in bursts. A warfare scale emp needs to have the the pulse "pushed" (like from a Doppler effect) to have more power accumulated in less time (and space of course). A way that you could do this is either with a nuclear explosion (  ;D ;D ;D ), or with a small scale explosion of an electromagnet.  Here is how it goes: You make an electromagnet on a rod, the bigger the better.  Then, you surround this electromagnet with high speed explosive. You close house all this with another rod (bigger diameter). now you let current flow through the electromagnet, which creates electromagnetic lines. You set the explosives. The explosives will contract the inner tube and the electromagnetic field will be condensed. The field will be unleashed when the electromagnet is destroyed. All this happen super fast. Good thing is that you can create an EMP of millions of amperes, tens of millions of megawatts, and exceeds the magnitude of a lighting strike, even the magnitude of Doc's flux capacitor (11.3 gigawatts). No electronic survives.  Bad thing is that it is one-time use.

sorry for my too late reply..... :-[  well it would be intresting to post a schema of how to do it. Also i couldn't understand the particular part of your reply....

no kidding?! When i get my explosive license i will definitely try this :D
as long as i have no pacemaker ;)

I saw some videos on youtube creating emp.I dont know if are fake.Another intresting use of this is on fighting robots. It would be an underneath belt's punch but it would be really funny...... :)

robo wars must remain brutal and destructive. Metals and bolts must fly around after each touch. EMP won't be fun at all.

Anyway, the trick of the EMP is to have maximum power in minimum time, and that can be achieved mainly with an explosion which will compress the magnetic lines.

Off course it is possible to create an electromagnetic pulse. I have done this process recently and if you need i can share the entire process of creating electromagnetic pulse here. Please inform in case you require it.

If this is real.... It's a breakthrough  8) 8)  8) 8) 8) last time I tried to do find realistic plans for effective EMPs, an explosion of a fast acting explosive material was required to compress the electromagnetic energy around a coil and then "detach" it from the coil before it collapses back...
