Look out! Here comes a noob!
« on: October 07, 2011, 02:11:40 AM »
Hey everyone! I saw your 10 button PIC touchpad and flipped over it! I build and mod custom arcade sticks, so i have some experience in soldering and I have been looking to do something different. The arcade sticks that I work with involve pushbuttons and microswitches. Here is a link to give you an example.

My next project will be to make an arcade stick without any buttons. The microswitches on the buttons have 2 wires going the PCB, an output wire and a ground wire. I dont know what all I need at the moment, so I have to do more research. After I finish with this, I want to look into making my own PCBs. There are some people that make PCBs that are compatible for Xbox360, PS3, and PC. they have a USB connected to the PCB and it will reconize what system it is in.  I want to be able to do this too.

I cant wait to learn more and put it to use!

as i write in your other post, i would not enjoy playing games with touch buttons. i love this clicking sound! But that may be just me.
Also, welcome to the forum! Have fun

Also, i hate super street fighter, but street fighter 2... i am a champion. I still have not found the man to win me, and i am starting to believe that this man has not born yet. Last time _pike challenged me to play, but i think that he will never play again street fighter, ever. Sorry _pike...

no, there will not be a next time, i am sure that you've already deleted the game from mame, along with every other game that starts with the word "street"... like "street drivin" "street football" "street games" "street hoop" and others...

i'm talking about sf2, the one that i was playing as a teenager. when sf2 turbo was released, i stopped playing sf. it was an absolute failure.

Super Street Fighter 2 turbo has been revered as one of the best fighting games by the competitive scene for ages. Ill definitely take you on in World Warrior! I have 100% combos for Ryu and Guile, so look out!
