##### 300 euro
« on: March 28, 2008, 01:41:49 AM »
One day 3 friends goes into a bar and drink a lot. In the morning they had to pay the bill that was 300 euro. They gave 100 eu each and left. But while going outside, the barman came out and said that the bill was not 300 but 295 euro so he gave them back 5 euros. They took each one of 1 euro (1+1+1) and gave the rest 2 to the barman as a tip.

But then they thought: We gave each one 100 euro and got back 1. This makes 99 euro each.
99+99+99 297 plus 2 euro for the tip = 299 euro.

Where is the other euro?

let's put it that way:

Everyone gave 100 euro. This makes 300.

They had 5 euro back, this makes 295
they gave 2 euro for tip this makes 297
they took 1 euro each back, this makes 1*3=3 => 300.

Nothing is lost. lol
