I tried posting an answer about the temp ctr soldering iron but there is no conformation code?
The iron I purchased from EBAY was packaged in a HAKKO907 box with same specs as a HAKKO iron which is 24v ac
The heater element is 2-3 ohms and the sensor at room temp is 50 ohms.
I have a preliminary design but want to include a UAA2016 zero voltage switch. Or else use just a simple optic-coupler.
This design would perhaps be easier that attaching a thermocouple to an existing iron.
I found a schematic for a HAKKO iron but it doesn't want to work as I found several schematic/pcboard deficiencies.
