Linux is nice but still you need to know a lot to set up for example one server. I tried it my self. I could not do it anyway. In windows, i had a server in 1 day running, along with mail server, ftp, php, mysql... everything.

PCB Heaven server runs in Linux. It is (i must admit) harder to setup a full featured server (not that hard using some LAMP version of linux) but i can assure you, with hand over heart, it worths it! I have NEVER NEVER done a restart, it has NEVER NEVER collapse, whenever a new version needs a restart, a very distinctive icon on top right appears and not this stupid annoying windows message "YOUR COMPUTER NEEDS TO RESTART".

everything is ABSOLUTELY free. You can setup a really good full featured server by spending 0 Euro on software. And it will be much better than windows. Especially after windows 2000 that for me, was the only windows version that (somehow) it worked...

I hope they will keep some compatibility with old hardware.

WHY OH WHY don't people throw away this stupid os and use only Linux?

There is a solution.

It is called Linux.
Try Ubuntu

I must admit that Linux as lightyears better than windows but you must also admit that you can for example get much easier a job if you know Photoshop rather than Gimp...

Yes, but to know photoshop you must use it first, thus mean pay for it, so either you have a lot of money or you use pirated software.  ;D

You believe that if adobe wanted not someone to have pirate software, could not be done? Adobe like autodesk like everyone, want users to have pirate software and practice on it. That's why noone ever accused noone for pirate software.
But when you go to office or business level, they HAVE to pay for photoshop as users already know photoshop...
