ps3 fan mod pulsation with pot prject
« on: September 11, 2012, 21:15:25 PM »
Hello guys (again)
now im using a pulsation mod that runs the fan about 50 % constantly.

so i know that the 1k resistor ...(controls) the fan at 50%

but when i go lower in resistance it should run faster , right?

so i was thinking, let put a pot instead of that .
but the amps that need to be smooth besides the pulse of the 555 that triggers the fan to run , will this be dangerous for the pot and cause fire?

THANKS!

as long as you are under the max output current (some 200mA) you are ok.
