no need to buffer the input of the comparator as it has huge impedance. Let me remind you to pull the output of the comparator high? With a 1K resistor for example?

I had already tried that didn't make a difference.
I think I can mess around with it and figure it out.
I appreciate your advice great forum.
I guess I can actually get this PCB done after all.
