10m IR remote control
« on: December 12, 2016, 01:16:36 AM »
I looked at your IR video , as I have failed to make one.
I have a 38k receiver a mosfet and led to detect an IR presence. I tried 3 remote controls and all work over 10m so I took out the IR led.
I then proceeded to blow it up!
So I tried two of my cheap Chinese led's connected to the diner remote .
They worked perfectly!
Having found a circuit for a remote , it looks like they use very little resistance and high current , but for very short duration.

I will have another go at the weekend but if anyone has any advice it would be great.
