This is something new!

New powerless fans that they suppose to cool cpu. Check the how it works video here and look at the foto. I really do not like the idea much.

I think this is the stirling engine cycle. It is very familiar. check the link.

It is definitely a stirling engine. Actually, as hot as the CPU gets, the most faster it runs. But i do not know if it is efficient enough when the outside temperature is high, because it uses the outside temperature to move. Actually, it uses the temperature difference.

I would wait a couple of years until i would use it. I prefer some electro-moved gizmos!

You should be more trustfull to new products. I do not beleive that they would sell a product without having it under test. I beleive it is reliable.

People i've seen that gadget and it really works. Actually is not something new. It was discoveres many years ago, but now MSI put it to work!

Stirling motor is existing many years ago, its not a new idea.
The only prob with MSI's gizmo is that for the whole thing start to operate the cpu must reach 60 degrees celsius. Of course during boot up the cpu is stressed at its full and that temperature should be easily reache d and the engine should start shortly after but i dont like the thought my cpu heat up at 60 degrees and then
a fan triyng to cool it down after that.

Wow 60 degrees to start cooling. I really do not like the idea. And if the ambient temperature is 45 degrees? Wat then? Because as far as i know, this kind of motor will work using not (only) the heating surface, but the difference of temperature between it's thermal plate and ambient temperature.

I pressume that the coolest your cpu can go then is 45 degs but i think that stirlings have a 70% efficiency so if you live in africa its out of the question

Is it sold to all geographical places or only over 40 degrees?

I dont believe they have pc's in haystack houses in Maputo Africa

Anyway, i believe all pc's should be watercooled and the peltier project discussed in another topic is far more efficient an overall better.
