I would like a bandwidth filter that will only permint a narrow width at 4000 Hz as narrow as can be and if possible this should be done w/o op-amps.
Can someone help me?

Well, i tried op-amps for a chance. They are very very good. this 741 gizmo is excellent. I was afraid to use them as i know nothing but i have just begun to love them!

There are more applications that you can do with 741. Search more and you will appreciate this chip!
