Is 666 the number of the beast? [Skepticism]

In the bible it is stated that the number of the beast is 666. This was enough (of course) to raise a whole riot against this poor integer. There is really nothing awkward or magical with this number. Most likely, this number was the "encrypted" name of "Neron Caesar" in the Hebrew language using the Ancient Greek numbering system. If you search hard of course one may find many other coincidental matches with the number 666, such as for example the fact that if you add the numbers of the Monte Carlo roulette it sums up to 666...
