Korehira Watanabe - One of the last traditional Samurai sword makers [Video]
posted June 5 2012 20:14.00 by Giorgos Lazaridis

This is one of the last 30 Japanese sword makers who make original hand-made Samurai swords. This tradition goes way back into the Koto-period (794-1333). Korehira Watanabe makes swords for 40 years now, but only in the last five years he really succeeded to make a similar Koto sword, since the "recipe" was lost somewhere in the past.
