The equality that prevents our Earth to dive into the sun [Video]

Everyone knows that the earth orbits the sun, right? And many people know that this orbit is not circular but rather elliptical, and that there are times that the earth is much closer to the sun. Taking also into account that the gravitational force of the sun is increased by the square of the distance, how comes and our home planet does not take a death-dive into our home star?
