Hacking the AirWick Freshmatic - Chopping its Knock-Off Refill Limitation [Hack]

Alan from Hacked Gadgets is back with a new hacked gadget, the AirWick Freshmatic. Alan was very annoyed when he saw in the instructions that this item will not work unless an original refill is used. If the operator installs a knock-off refill, a red light will blink and the Freshmatic will not work at all.
