Plan A: You get the best oil drilling team in the world, you train them for a couple of weeks, you split them into two spacecrafts with two nukes and send them on the asteroid to plant the nukes in the core and explode it in two pieces... Let's be realistic: Hollywood solutions wont work in real life. There are though some very interesting ideas about how to stop an incoming asteroid.
