This is the last thing that Spirit saw on Mars

Here is an excellent image mosaic featured at Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD), made by Universe Today’s Ken Kremer and his imaging partner Marco De Lorenzo. Some days ago, NASA announced that they quit trying to re-establish communication with the 14-months lost Mars rover Spirit (read here more info). The image below (click to enlarge) is a panoramic view of Mars, and this is the last thing that Spirit sent back to Earth. Most probably, Spirit is rusting right there in front of this rocky desert.
