How can galaxies travel faster than the speed of light? [Science]

As you may know, according to the theory of relativity, nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. Nevertheless, using the red-shift method, scientists have discovered galaxies that travel faster than the speed of light. Since our galaxy is bounded by this law with these galaxies, how can this happen? Where is the catch? Well, the catch is that although everything is bounded by the law of relativity, the expansion of space isn't!
