posted April 4 2011 20:56.45 by Giorgos Lazaridis

Customer service in Japan has simply no pair. Yet, a new software aims to take this characteristic hospitality into even higher levels of perfection. it is called "the SmileScan" and is developed by Omron TAS. This system can measure the effectiveness of the operator's smile. It uses a camera and a PC, as well as a sophisticated software. The operator first goes through a training mode, and when finished, the algorithms can tell how "friendly" he is.
