Liquid Heat Dissipation using Mineral Oil [Project]

I've seen already people drowning complete PC Motherboards inside mineral oil for better heat dissipation... and it does work. I do not know how this method goes in the long run though. Andrew McNeil decided to go liquid to dissipate the heat coming out of a signal noise source. Watch the following video to see how he did this simple hack.

My question though is: Why do these resistors get hot? And how hot? I mean, I know that 70 degrees Celsius will give you a near-inferno feeling if you touch, but its still not hot for a resistor. I'd really like to see the temperature of the resistors before the hack. And also, i'd really would like to know why it gets that hot, what is the resistor value, the current etc...

Anyway, its good to watch
