Driving a 16x8 LED Matrix Interface with Arduino Mega [Project]

This is a step-by-step 13-pages tutorial with schematics and code for the Arduino Mega, explaining how can one interface two 8x8 LED matrices to the Arduino board. For the interface he uses two 74595 Shift Registers cascaded to convert a 8-bit Serial Input to 2 x 8 bits Parallel Output (SIPO Shift Registers).
