The Math Hidden in Futurama [Video]

You might just watch Futurama and chuckle deeply to yourself -as you should!- but if you study it a little more closely, you'll find that it's stuffed full of numbers and math.

Ever noticed that the number 1729 crops up all the time? That'll be because of Ken Keeler, who has a pure math PhD as well as being a comedy writer. Obviously. In this video, Simon Singh explores where all that math comes from, and explains why it's interesting.
