Tiny Footprint LDO Provides 300mA of Current [Chip Ideas]

The AP7341 from Diodes Incorporated is a low voltage drop linear regulator housed in a tiny DFN1010-4 package with a footprint of 1mm by 1mm and no thicker than 0.4mm! This device can provide up to 300mA of current and its perfect for small applications. It offers high power-supply ripple rejection ratio of 75 dB and low noise performance of 60 uV RMS, and can operate well withing the typical temperature range of -40oC to +85oC.

The device is offered with fixed voltage selections from 1.1V up to 3.3V with 0.1V step and has a voltage input of up to 5.25V, perfect for power distribution in size-critical applications. The wide voltage range makes it suitable for lithium battery cells since it can operate over their full charge and discharge cycle. The low quiescence current (35uA) makes it also suitable for low-power applications.
