McDonalds paid rappers to reference Big Macs in their songs [Random Knowledge #45]

In 2005, the marketing department of McDonalds announced that they would pay rappers every time a song that mentioned Big Macs was played on air! The amount was around $5 a time. This act was heavily criticized because the target group was... what else... children.
