Is this China-made fake cabbage... fake? [Weird stuff]

I received a comment on this post from [Kazuto N]:

I'm Japanese and I am kind of offended by this article.
First of all this is Japanese, not Chinese.
Secondly, they are not trying to make edible cabbages. In restaurants in Japan, wax models are often on display to show what kind of food is served. This TV show showed how the professionals make those wax models.

So, first, my apologies for confusing Japanese with Chinese. I'm Greek, and both language looks Greek to me ;)

Second, I do not remember from where i dug these pictures, but the title and the description talked about fake (chemical) cabbage... Thanks for the clarification! This cabbage looks soooo real! Great job!

And third, i have great respect for the ancient Japanese civilization.


So, here is the post as i originally BLOGGed it...

To me, it looks like that this set of photos are totally fake...
