SDR Shortwave Radio Mod "easy HF dongle mod" [Project]

A simple mod that requires steady hands and good eyes by Youtuber crookedninja5:

"This HF mod uses a simple jumper from the static protection diode to the RTL2832U chip, this setup may bleed static from the antenna discharging it to ground before it has a chance to go through the RTL2832U chip.... not 100% guaranteed static protection, but way safer than hooking a long wire antenna straight to the RTL2832U chip!

This worked better than I thought, I now have no need for an upconverter with this mod... 0 to 14.4 MHz coverage... not bad for shortwave radio on the cheap... you just need a steady and quick soldering hand... good eyes too, very small micro surface mounted parts!"
