Bluetooth thermometer
posted December 13 2010 11:40.46 by Giorgos Lazaridis

Jamie Maloway wanted to know the temperature outside his house, but it was too chill to open the door and place a thermometer, and too boring to get one for this purpose. So he felt like making one himself. After all, this is what creative people do... To make things more complex (another characteristic of creative people), he decided to use an old and unused bluetooth module that he had bought some time ago for another project. The temperature is acquired with a DS18B20 1-wire temperature sensor with programmable resolution, using a PIC12F675. The firmware is written in PICBasic. You can find all the details in his website.
