Olinuxino Nano directly controlling 4 WS2811 LED-strips [Project]

Jeroen Domburg from Sprites Mod's explains the method to directly controling up to 900 LED/strip with just an Olinuxino Nano:

"Demonstration of a trick I designed to be able to directly control WS2811-based LED-strips from an iMX233-based Linux-running board. With this, I can theoretically control 16 strips of up to 900 LEDS/strip at 40Hz refresh rate. No other hardware than the strips, the Olinuxino Nano and a 5V PSU is used. The Linux-distro is minifs, a minimal Linux userspace thing, that's why the boot time is so low."
