Telephone mute circuit
« on: March 22, 2008, 15:02:58 PM »
Hi all!

I want to make a circuit that will mute my telephone microphone. For example, i call bob and i press a button. Now, while i press this button, even if i speak, bob cannot hear me. When i leave this button bob can hear me again.
Is it difficult?

I am not sure that i clearly understood your question.
It looks like you want a very very complicated circuit that needs about.... 1 component: It is called "The Push-button"!

Simply cut one wire from the microphone line from the handset and put in series a NC pushbutton. When you keep it pressed, the mic will not work...  ::)
