Meet Trangram, Simple house remote automation over IP

AKA clever-house, but i really hate this title. Here is the main idea in a glance: Trangram is a complete system that can connect modules on the internet. A simple interface is used to define the communication between those modules. A switch for example can be wired to actuate relay outputs, and thus control the lights. Or an email can be sent with the push of a button. Watch the demo video:
